Continuing His Vision

The following narrative, written by James, gives consideration and reflection as to the ‘why” of Seeds Creations and the legacy pasted on to James, his brothers, the Fellowship Church, and the Mbuyu wa Kusema community, inviting this organization Sowing Seeds of Joy to join them in partnership.
"Last week, we buried our mentor, partner in the ministry, and a powerful prayer warrior, my father Morris Wanje. When I was young, he made an altar call to which I responded and gave my life to Jesus Christ. He showed me what it meant to follow Jesus, and, as best as I know how, I’ve continued to walk that path. When I told him I was going into full time ministry, he was elated! Through the years, we have continued to build partnerships (foster vision & hope) in ministry. As he focused on evangelizing communities, I came alongside him to disciple the church. Through him, God started the Baptist work here in the East African region. He (Morris Wanje) was the first Baptist convert in the region and he started at least 64 churches. At his funeral, thousands showed up and many of those had personal stories to tell about the impact he made in their lives.
In 1956, my father, Reverend Morris Wanje began an incredible task when he gave his life to Jesus Christ. On the evening of February 7th 2014, my father finished that task and transitioned into the arms of Jesus. We miss him dearly, we ache for his presence, but we also know that it is gain that he is now with Christ! My father begun a task that we now need to help finish!” Seeds Creations is a part of his legacy and vision to connect the hearts of people to the heart of God.
